.Wagaya at Emory Village has a great atmosphere. Although the space is small, they make efficient use of every inch with well-arranged tables and chairs, creating a cozy vibe. The servers are extremely friendly, adding a personal touch to the experience. However, on the Wednesday evening I visited, the food took much longer to arrive than expected. When my ramen finally came, the noodles had absorbed most of the soup, leaving very little broth. I asked for more, and the server promptly brought extra broth, which was much appreciated. As for the food, it was decent but didn’t stand out—I’ve had better ramen at other places. The location is incredibly convenient for Emory University students and staff, being just next door, but overall, the dining experience didn’t leave a lasting impression.

we got takeout. looked nothing like what we ordered vs menu photos. nothing was labeled which made it hard to tell what rolls were which. ordered octopus sashimi and i don’t know what we got but it was NOT octopus and it was gross

I got takeout here and was not impressed with the sushi, or the service. I ordered an eel avocado roll, and spicy scallop roll. The portion size of eel included in the eel avocado roll was underwhelming. Overall the sushi was just ok, nothing exceptional. I ordered online and had an estimated 20 minute wait, but waited 40 minutes for my order to be ready. My experience wasn’t awful, but I expected better from an establishment with such high ratings.

Excellent. I ordered the chicken curry. We also ordered the Katsudon and some sushi. Miso soup was great and the dressing with the salad was fantastic.

I had a fantastic experience at Wagaya! Our group of seven was seated promptly, even without reservations. The service was excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. The ramen is a must-try, and the sushi was fresh and flavorful. My only wish is that they had a more extensive cocktail menu; while the sake and imported beer options were authentic, the selection was a bit limited. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience!

Chopsticks were low quality which was kinda annoying for someone who loves using and is pretty good with chopsticks. The broth in the chicken ramen was good but not 5 star. The sushi was ridiculously good (5 stars) and fried rice with teriyaki sauce was also really tasty. Presentation was 4.5 stars.

My son and I had a great time. It’s hard sometimes dining out with a 5 year old but he enjoyed the setting and they even gave him kids chopsticks and he immediately ditched his fork! Our waiter was so kind and considerate. I wish I got his name. I highly recommend this place and will absolutely be back since my picky eater loved his ramen bowl.
