It was my first time here and I enjoyed the food. The Ebi Mayo was particularly delicious. My mazesoba or mixed noodles were very decent even though I prefer noodles in broth more. There were other more interesting items that I will return to try. This place is easily accessible. There’s free parking on East and West Boulevard as well as on side streets.

? Tasty Tokyo Vibes at Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba - Kerrisdale! ?

? Stopped by for a quick meal at Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba and was delighted by the rich flavors! I ordered the Original Ramen with Tamago and a side of Gyoza, and both dishes hit the spot. The broth was savory and comforting, a perfect treat on a chilly day.

? This location offers more than just traditional ramen; they’re known for their mazesoba—brothless ramen that’s packed with umami. While I didn't try it this time, it’s definitely on my list for my next visit. The restaurant's ambiance is cozy, with a modern Japanese feel that makes it a relaxing place to enjoy a meal.

? The staff were friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service and making me feel right at home. Whether you’re a ramen enthusiast or new to Japanese noodles, Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba is a must-try in Kerrisdale!

Well
It’s a bit disappointed this time
To be fair, we don’t order their main dishes which is the Mazesoba
I ordered a Curry Pork Cutlet, some tofu, a bowl of std ramen.
Honestly the ramen is ok average
The curry is nowhere near.
Most disappointing is the rice. It’s hard and non Japanese grade rice. It’s like those u bought from supermarket and put it in microwave like convenient pack rice
The cutlet is very below average, hard and not juicy at all
Ramen, soup is ok, noodle is good, ingredients is fair. Pork slice is average.
Can’t compare with other nearby.

I should order their special and mazesoba to give a full review

Staff is nice
Atmosphere is cozy modern and clean.

This bowl of Japanese noodles is not udon, nor soba, nor ramen. It is mazesoba and it means mixed noodles! Think of it as a brothless ramen. And Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba, which comes straight from Tokyo, does it best. Containing a wide array of delicious umami toppings and the chewiest noodles, you'll want to scrape up every last bite of this dish. This is one of my favourite places to go to when I visit Vancouver.

Mazesoba, where have you been all my life? ?. This is an edit to original review of the ramen,.which I gave a good review. In my last visit, I noticed everyone eating mazesoba, but I had already re-ordered the usual original ramen. So I came back the next evening and tried the Tokyo Mazesoba. Omg, each bite is incredibly flavorful, and the texture of the noodles is making my mouth water as I write this review. When your taste buds are overwhelmed, simply add the vinegar they serve on the table. , that or take a sip of water to cleanse your palette and you are good to go again. What a delicious dish!

My daughter placed an order for 5 spicy Mazesoba, chicken Karage, chowsu ball and dumplings, came to pick it up and there was only 1 mazesoba. No sorry or anything, Akane just walk away after she fix the mistakes.

I wasn’t even mad or annoyed, mistake happens but at least acknowledge your mistake. I even left a $15 tip on a $127 bill.

Update:

I got back in the office and guess what? No napkins and no chopsticks! I have to order other food close by work so we could get chopsticks. I called the restaurant and spoke to Akane, I told her that it’s impossible to make too many mistakes with the same customer, specially the restaurant we’re just opened and only a few customers were inside.

As our favorite Mazesoba restaurant, it'll be our "go-to" if we're around a neighborhood that has one, and this one is in Kerrisdale!

Everything is as consistently superb through every Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba visit at any location - quality control is amazing.

The only downside of this particular location is its size. The restaurant can sit ~ 25 and there's only 1 (maybe 2) big table that can fit 5+ so if you have a family of 5+, there's usually a wait and it's first come first serve.

Tip: Niku Mazesoba has the most toppings (most meat!) at $16.50, which is cheaper than those with fewer toppings.

Delicious food! I’ve never had Mazesoba so this was an interesting experience. The egg was delicious and I love that they give you extra rice at the end to finish your sauce.

A really filling meal for lunch and probably perfect for dinner! Also like the meal combos they have as well, it makes it feel like a more well rounded meal.

The milk tea was too sweet for me (not adjustable, which makes sense), I would probably not get it again but was entranced by the packaging.

The cheesecake dessert was super cute and mild in flavour, which I enjoyed. It also had an Oreo cookie crumble at the bottom that added texture to the dessert.

Service was really good at the beginning but once it got busy it was hard to get the servers attention. However they were very polite and friendly and did come to check often in the beginning.
